NUEVA CAJA DE STEVE HACKETT

Además del nuevo álbum, Wolflight, el guitarrista nos tenía preparada otra sorpresita para este buen año progresivo. Se ha reeditado su Tribute de 2008, al que se le ha añadido un tema extra “Through the trees”, un tema original del guitarrista y no adaptado de Bach, como está sucediendo en la mayoría de los álbumes que se están reeditando del ex Genesis.

Todo esto podría parece algo menor frente a la que se avecina con la caja Premonitions: The Charisma Years, que contiene 14 discos y se prevé que aparezca en octubre. Con esta publicación megalítica se cubre el periodo de 1975, justo cuando Steve decidió comenzar su carrera en solitario, hasta 1983, año en el que dejó el sello discográfico al que hace referencia el título de la nueva y monumental edición. Esto incluye los primeros seis LPs, nuevamente remasterizados, incluyendo material extra, así como conciertos inéditos y DVDs con mezclas en 5.1 de los conciertos de la primera gira preparados y trabajados por Steven Wilson. Please Don’t Touch y Spectral Mornings vienen de las multipistas originales que se perdieron en su día, como sucedió con Voyage of the Acolyte o Defector, que han tenido que ser trabajadas desde sus masters en estéreo originales. Por otro lado, Cured y Highly Strung presentan nuevas mezclas en estéreo también.

En fin, un montón de material para poderlo disfrutar aunque algunos de sus álbumes se presentan divididos en dos discos, lo que podría estropear el concepto de presentación de la gigantesca caja.
